Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Solo offers 12 thousand meals per day to fasting people in cooperation with "Zayed Humanity"

Solo (Indonesia) on March 18 / WAM / The Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque receives the Solo region of Indonesia since the first day of the blessed month of Ramadan between 12 and 15 thousand guests within the fasting breakfast project that is being implemented under the auspices of the Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Foundation for charitable and humanitarian works and through which about 400 thousand meals are distributed throughout the holy month and that is on the path of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, God bless him, in solidarity, compassion and giving.

To ensure the provision of a distinguished service to the guests and pioneers of the mosque, four major tents were established in different areas of the Mosque campus, supervised by more than 120 volunteers from the people of the Solo region and university students, in the embodiment of the values ​​of giving and community cooperation.

The mosque is full of various activities and events, which are organized to celebrate the blessed month of Ramadan and revive religious rituals during the holy month, and includes religious lectures, Islamic lessons and daily recitation rings for the Holy Qur’an and the study of its sciences, and organizing the “Psalms of the Quran” competition for the best recitation of the Holy Qur’an, as well as a series of educational sessions to study ancient Islamic books, in addition to holding specialized courses in a number of vital areas, And celebrating the day of Zayed, which falls on the nineteenth of Ramadan.

In breakfast hours, the corridors of the mosque constitute an artistic painting that adorns guests and boys, ages sufficient to add this to the aesthetic that the mosque has from home and abroad, as it is a center for many cultural and social activities that serve the local community in the city of Solo.

His Excellency Dr. Mohamed Ateeq Al -Falahi, Director General of the Zayed Foundation for Charitable and Humanitarian Works, stressed that within the UAE’s message in spreading the values ​​of tolerance, solidarity and giving, the Foundation continues its mission in strengthening these human values ​​on the path of the late father, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, “May God rest his soul”, indicating that the Foundation is implementing a fasting breakfast project in 13 countries around the world.

Al -Falahi stressed the importance of cooperative efforts and partnerships held by the Zayed Foundation for Charitable and Humanitarian Works, which contributed to supporting many projects in the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in the Indonesian city of Solo.

He noted that the Foundation seeks to consolidate its strategic partnerships with humanitarian organizations locally and globally, with a focus on consolidating noble values ​​and enhancing cooperation in a way that benefits individuals and beneficiaries around the world.

For his part, Dr. Sultan Faisal Al -Rumaithi, head of the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Center in Solo, said that the various activities organized by the mosque aim to make the holy month an important occasion to enhance the ties of brotherhood between the Emirati and Indonesian peoples, and added that the mosque administration is keen to attract and host the sweetest sounds of recitation and recitation from the UAE to the Imamate in Tarawih prayers and revive the nights of the holy month, stressing that the mosque has become one of the most important icons in the region As a cultural edifice that celebrates brotherhood between the Republic of Indonesia and the UAE.
