The Emirates Association for the Care of Parents is organizing the Dubai Branch in the Burj Al Arab, the closing ceremony of the Holy Quran competition in its second session, which was held during the period from February 20 to March 24 in cooperation with the Maktoum centers for the Holy Qur’an and its sciences, and this competition coincides with the anniversary of the departure of the late Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, may God have mercy on him, and this competition is attended by Sheikha Latifa Bint Hamdan bin Rashid For women.

The competition witnessed a great turnout from parents from all the emirates of the state to participate in this humanitarian initiative, aimed at those who presented many lessons for current and future generations, and established more affiliation and loyalty to the dear homeland and the rational leadership.

Sheikh Dr. Saeed bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, the honorary president of the Emirates Association for the Care of Parents, stressed the importance of the Holy Quran Competition held by the association this year in its second session, which coincides with the anniversary of the departure of the late Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, may God have mercy The march of goodness and giving that His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum “may God have mercy on him” has established through his humanitarian and charitable initiatives.

In turn, a member of the Board of Directors and Chairman of the Administrative Authority of the Emirates Association for the Care of Parents, Dubai Branch, Nisreen bin Darwish, said that the association launches and implement programs that all aim to provide and provide various services to senior citizens and meet their needs, and in Ramadan this year we launched the second session of the Holy Quran Competition, which contributes to enhancing their psychological, mental and social health.

Regarding the conditions of the competition, Nisreen said: The contestant must not be less than 60 years, and the contestant is one of the citizens of the UAE, and the competition includes three categories. The first competition included the category of senior citizens and residents (recitation of one part) and the second competition for the category of determination (mastery of the recitation of 10 fences from the end of the Qur’an) and the third category of employment category (mastery of recitation of 20 surahs from the end of the Qur’an).

The activities of the competition were launched from the date of February 20, with the registration stage in the competition, followed by the second stage through the establishment of the initial qualifiers on March 5, 2025, for the category of senior citizens and residents male and female, and it was remotely (hypothetical) through the Zoom program, and the final qualifiers were held in the presence of all groups in the Maktoum Center for the Quran and its Sciences in the Al -Warqa area in Dubai on March 13th and announced at the end of their names The winners of the three categories of the competition, male and female.

Nisreen bin Darwish added that, during the closing ceremony, the association will honor the winners and contributors to the successful gifts, which will be presented by the competition’s sponsors represented by the first Abu Dhabi Bank, the first sponsor of the competition, as well as through the company (HRA Real Estate Development), the second sponsor of the competition. She thanked the supporters and sponsors of the Emirates Association for the Care of Parents, Dubai Branch, appreciating their support and efforts in the success of these initiatives aimed at serving the community and enhancing noble values.
