The permanent delegate to the UAE to the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons.

The Hague, March 18/ WAM/ His Excellency Amira Al -Hafiti presented her credentials to His Excellency Fernando Arias, General Manager of the Organization for Chemical Weapons, a permanent representative of the UAE to the organization, during an official ceremony that took place at the organization’s headquarters in The Hague.
His Excellency Al -Hafiti affirmed the UAE’s keenness to implement its obligations under the Chemical Weapons Prohibition Agreement, and to enhance cooperation with the organization and member states to achieve the goals of the agreement and support international peace and security.
For his part, His Excellency Arias wished His Excellency Al -Hafiti success in her work tasks, stressing the organization’s readiness to provide all possible support to facilitate its tasks and enhance joint cooperation.
For its part, His Excellency Al -Hafiti expressed its pride in representing the UAE in the organization and its keenness to support the organization’s goals and tasks, and work closely with all member states to ensure the effective implementation of the agreement.
His Excellency Al -Hafiti held a meeting with the Director General of the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons, during which ways of enhancing cooperation between the UAE and the organization were discussed in areas of common concern. The importance of enhancing joint efforts to achieve the goals of the agreement and support international peace and security has been emphasized.
