The Syndicate of Musical Professions in Egypt announced the prevention of Lebanese singer Haifa Wehbe from singing inside the country.
This came in an official statement issued by Dr. Mohamed Abdullah, the union’s undersecretary and spokesman, in which he confirmed that the decision came after extensive discussions to preserve the controls and standards of singing in Egypt.

The reasons for preventing Haifa Wehbe from singing in Egypt

The statement clarified that the decision is related to a complaint submitted against Haifa Wehbe by member Khaled Al -Tohamy, who accused her of defaming him and claiming his intervention in her parties.
The union said that after referring the complaint to legal affairs, the artist was summoned to investigate several times, but she did not attend, which led to an official decision to prevent her from obtaining singing permits inside Egypt.
