500 pieces .. The Minister of Tourism sees the works of the Biennial of Islamic Arts

Yesterday evening, the Minister of Tourism, Ahmed bin Aqeel Al -Khatib, visited the Islamic arts of 2025, which is organized by the Al -Diriyah Biennial Foundation in the Western Pilgrims Hall at King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah, entitled “And what is between them”, and will continue until May 25.
During the tour, he reviewed the most prominent artistic and historical works included in the Biennali, which exceeds 500 artifacts and contemporary artworks, showing the rich legacy of Islamic arts and cultures, and highlights the Kingdom’s role as a global center for culture and arts.

He listened to an explanation about the artistic concepts offered by Al -Bayanali through seven main sections (the beginning, the orbit, the sacrifice, the shadow, the honored, the enlightened, and the worshiper), combining archaeological artifacts and creative expressions that carry contemporary artworks.
The Minister of Tourism is in the Biennali halls, which were designed to provide a unique visual and cultural experience, and embrace a wide range of loan works that include archaeological artifacts, historical pieces and precious Islamic holdings, artworks from major institutions such as the Louvre Museum (Paris), the Victoria and Albert Museum (London), in addition to groups specialized in Islamic arts and cultures coming from and the Islamic Art Museum (Doha), and the Turkish Institute of Manuscripts (Istanbul).

The Biennial also brings out prominent institutions from all over the Kingdom, which are the King Abdulaziz International Cultural Center – Etzaa (Dhahran), the King Abdulaziz Complex for Endowment Libraries (Medina), and King Fahd National Library (Riyadh).
