Director General of the Digital Government: Abu Dhabi is established for a new stage of the march of digital transformation

Abu Dhabi, March 20 / WAM / His Excellency Wissam Lootah, Director General of the Digital Government – Government Empowerment Department said that the agreement between the Abu Dhabi government, Microsoft, and G42 establishes a new stage of the digital transformation of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, and is considered an inevitable progress towards the approval of the sovereign cloud in the digital government of the emirate, which supports the implementation of the Abu Dhabi digital government strategy 2025-2027, Through the establishment of a unified sovereign cloud computing, it has a significant impact on improving the provision of government services for members of society and the business sector, in addition to raising the efficiency of operational and productive operations, government performance and environmental sustainability.

He added that with the implementation of this joint sovereign cloud system, we will have the high ability to process more than 11 million digital transactions on a daily basis between government agencies, citizens, residents and companies.

His Excellency explained in a statement to the Emirates News Agency “WAM” that the agreement comes in light of the direction of the Abu Dhabi government and its efforts to be the first government in the world to be entirely dependent on artificial intelligence by the year 2027, as Abu Dhabi aims to automate 100% of its government operations by 2027, supported by investing 13 billion dirhams “3.54 billion dollars” in the digital infrastructure, and therefore this partnership is an opportunity A strategy that supports the Abu Dhabi digital government strategy 2025-2027, during which more than 200 solutions supported by artificial intelligence will be applied to improve the provision of government services and enhance productivity and operational operations, which was evident in the launch of the “Tamm” platform, the unified government platform, which contributed to reducing the rate of customers’ visit by 90%, and made more than 73% of immediate and proactive transactions.

He said that this strategic partnership between the three parties will allow government agencies in Abu Dhabi and the digital government to preserve the rule of data, form a strong digital infrastructure and ready for the future that support the adoption of artificial intelligence and automation in various government agencies, and holds a culture of innovation, as well as providing a new global model that presents the future government.
