I gave them weeks to leave the country .. America ends the legal status of 500,000 immigrants

The United States of America announced that it is in the process of ending the legal status of hundreds of thousands of immigrants, confirming that they would give them a week to leave the country.

President Donald Trump has pledged to implement the largest deportation campaign in the history of the United States and reduce immigration, especially from Latin American countries.

The resolution extends about 532 thousand Cuban, Haiti, Nicaragoy and Venezuele who came to the United States under a program launched by former President Joe Biden, in October 2022, and expanded in January of the following year.

They will lose legal protection 30 days after the publication of the Ministry of Internal Security in the Federal Registry scheduled for Tuesday. This means that the immigrants covered by the program “should leave the United States” by April 24 unless they get another immigration status allowing them to stay in the country, according to the ministry’s order.

And the West Gambling Organization, which supports asylum seekers in the United States, who is affected by this decision, urged advice from a lawyer who specializes in immigration affairs “immediately”, according to the “French Press Agency”.

The program directed to Cubans, Haitians, Nicaraguans, and Venezuelans allowed the entry of up to 30,000 immigrants per month from the four countries with bleak records in the field of human rights, to the United States for two years. Biden said at the time that the plan was a “safe and human” means to relieve pressure on the crowded US -Mexican border.

But the Ministry of Internal Security confirmed, on Friday, that the program is “temporary”. The decision stated that “the temporary allowance to remain temporary by its nature, which alone is not essential to obtain any migration situation, and is not an acceptance of the entry of the United States.”
