المملكة: 112 in Medina .. More than 460 foreign trucks were monitored

The supervisory teams of the General Authority for Transport monitored 479 foreign trucks in violation in a number of regions of the Kingdom, during the period from 16 to 21 March.
It comes within its intensive field campaigns on land transport activities, with the aim of raising and enhancing compliance with the approved regulations and regulations.

Violating foreign trucks

The authority confirmed that it had applied against all violating trucks observed procedures, through financial fines, and seized a number of violating trucks.
This comes to ensure limiting the violations of these trucks and adhering to the regulations that regulate their work inside the Kingdom, while emphasizing the lack of complacency in the application of sanctions.
Al -Madinah Al -Munawwarah was the most areas in the registration of violations by 112 violations, followed by the Makkah Al -Mukarramah region with 90 violations, then the Qassim region with 88 violations.

35 violations in the Riyadh region

While 35 violations were recorded in the Riyadh region, and 162 other violations were distributed to the rest of the Kingdom.
The General Transport Authority stressed the continuation of its supervisory efforts in all regions, and its keenness to achieve competitive justice and raise the level of road safety.
In addition to improving the quality of the logistics services provided, which reflects positively on the transportation system in the Kingdom.

Foreign truck control

The General Transport Authority intensifies its regulatory campaigns on foreign trucks inside the Kingdom, in implementation of the provisions of the road transport system.
This is according to the Cabinet Resolution on 19 Shaaban 1446 AH corresponding to February 18, 2025, to ensure the compliance of foreign trucks that violate the transport of goods inside the Kingdom.
The authority imposed strict penalties, a fine of 10,000 riyals will be imposed, and the violating truck is seized for a period of 15 days the first time.

Double the penalties

The penalties are doubled if the violation is repeated to the fine to 20 thousand riyals upon repetition, with the truck reserving 30 days.
In the third violation, 40 thousand riyals with reservation 60 days, and 80 thousand riyals for the fourth violation with reservation 60 days, up to 160 thousand riyals in the event of repeating the violation for the fifth time with the truck reservation 60 days.
This is in addition to confiscating violating trucks that deliberately repeat violations and non -compliance with the regulations.
