Our national judo team scores 20 points in Tbilisi "Grand Salam"
Tbilisi on March 23 / WAM / Our national judo team scored 20 points at the end of his participation in the “Grand Salam” championship, which was organized by the Georgian Federation under the supervision of the International Federation with the participation of 385 players from 52 countries.
The acquired points came through participation and reaching the round of 16 and a quarter of the final, and will be added to the balance of its qualifying points to the upcoming Olympic Games.
Yesterday, Suleiman Ibrahim opened his career in the 32 -round round by beating the Spanish player Santa Maria Aaron in a weight under 90 kg, and then lost in the round of 16 against the strong French Lexis Matthew.
The Georgia Championship, as part of the preparation program to participate in the world championship scheduled in Hungary in mid -June, is followed by the Abu Dhabi “Grand Salam” championship, during the period from 17 to 19 October.
