National Academy for Childhood Development: The UAE has established an advanced system that promotes children’s rights

Abu Dhabi, March 14 / WAM / Her Excellency Dr. Mira Al Kaabi, Acting President of the National Academy for Childhood Development, confirmed that the UAE has established an advanced system that upholds children’s rights and safeguards their well-being, noting that investing in childhood constitutes an integrated national responsibility.

On the occasion of Emirati Children’s Day, which falls on March 15 of each year, she said that the vision of the wise leadership considers investing in childhood to be the cornerstone of building human capital capable of continuing the path of sustainable development, stressing that what we instill in our children will manifest its fruits in the strength, cohesion and development of society.

She pointed out that child development is not limited to the family, but rather represents a comprehensive national responsibility in which efforts are integrated to ensure a safe and stimulating environment that ensures balanced growth in its cognitive, psychological and social dimensions.

She explained that enhancing specialized knowledge in the field of childhood, building the capabilities of staff working with children and their families, and establishing evidence-based practices and best standards are essential pillars to ensure a promising start for every child and enable him or her to have a prosperous future that contributes to supporting the nation’s development process.
