Britain and France are looking to form a power to preserve peace in Ukraine

The leaders of the British and French armies in London have met at a week, which will witness more talks on plans to form a peacekeeping force in Ukraine.

Admiral Tony Radakin, Chief of Staff of the British Armed Forces, said after meeting his French counterpart, General Thierry Burkar on Monday, that the two European nuclear powers are advancing to enhance a stronger and deeper partnership, according to the British Press Agency (BA Media).
During the meeting, which was attended by army, naval and air force leaders for both countries, the two men discussed efforts to stimulate the European response to the situation in Ukraine, while Ukrainian, Russian and American officials participated in talks in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia aimed at achieving the ceasefire.

A decisive time for Europe’s security

Radakin said: At this decisive time for Europe’s security, the third meeting of the leaders of the two British and French armies should be seen as a sign of reassurance and commitment.

The meeting comes at a time when the European Peace Conservation Planning operations in Ukraine will continue this week at the British Military Command headquarters in Northwood.
The British Prime Minister’s office on 10 Downing Street had stated last week that the talks on the formation of the “Alliance of the Next” will continue to accelerate the pace and level of operational planning, with a more focus on the details and structure of any future force.
