Our national team beats North Korea in the World Cup qualifiers
Riyadh, March 25 / WAM / Our first national football team defeated North Korea 2-1 today at Prince Faisal bin Fahd City Stadium in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, in the eighth round of the first group of the Asian qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup.
With this result, our national team raised its score to 13 points in third place, and the North Korean team stopped at two points in sixth place.
Our national team was scored by Fabio Lima in the 5th minute, and Sultan Adel in the 90+8 minute.
The group’s matches also witnessed the victory of the Kyrgyzstan national team over Qatar 3-1, raising its score to 6 points in fifth place, and Qatar’s balance stops at 10 points in fourth place.
The Iran team also tied with Uzbekistan 2-2, putting each point in its balance and the Iranian team’s balance reached 20 points at the top of the group, and Uzbekistan to 17 points in second place.
