Zizou leads Egypt to beat Sierra Leone and enhance its lead in the World Cup qualifiers

Ahmed Sayed (Zizou) scored a goal in stoppage time for the first half to lead Egypt to win 1-0 over Sierra Leone in the sixth round of the African qualifiers for the 2026 FIFA World Cup and enhance its lead in the first group today.
Zizou received a pass inside the penalty area from Mahmoud Hassan (Trezeguet) to launch a powerful shot in the net from soon in the third minute of stoppage time for the first half of the match that was held in Cairo Stadium.
Egypt, which seeks to qualify for the World Cup for the fourth time in its history, strengthened the group with a score of 16 points, five points behind Burkina Faso, who beat its host, Guinea-Bissau, 2-1 yesterday.
Sierra Leone came in third place after its balance was frozen at eight points, followed by Ethiopia with six points in fourth place after winning 6-1 against Djibouti on Monday.
Ethiopia excels by goal difference from the fifth -standing Guinea -Bissau, while Djibouti is the group, with one point in eight games.
