المملكة: Under the auspices of the Syrian and Lebanese Defense Ministers, the Kingdom is an important political entity and a sustainable leadership

The Kingdom’s hosting reflects the meeting of the Syrian Minister of Defense and its Lebanese counterpart, the assessment of the Syrian and Lebanese leaderships of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Highness the Crown Prince- may God protect them- and the Kingdom’s political and economic status, its weight and its pivotal role at the international level, the position that the Kingdom and its rational leadership- may God protect it- in the international community.

The Kingdom’s efforts to enhance security and stability

The Kingdom’s hosting of the Syrian and Lebanese defense ministers meeting comes as an extension of its existing efforts, led by His Highness the Crown Prince – may God protect him – to enhance regional and international security and stability and to complete its continuous initiatives to coordinate and consult with the brothers in Syria and Lebanon on issues of common concern, including ensuring border security, and preventing attacks and violations of the security and sovereignty of the two homes.
The Kingdom’s transformation into a destination for the leaders of brotherly and friendly countries reflects, in search of a peaceful solution to the crises and differences between them, the Kingdom’s position and political weight and the leadership role of His Highness the Crown Prince – may God protect him – at the regional and international levels, and the increasing confidence in the Kingdom’s ability to collect all parties to bring views between them and reach peaceful solutions.

Supporting ways to solve the dispute between the two governments

The Kingdom supports the efforts made by the governments of Syria and Lebanon to discuss ways to resolve the dispute between them by diplomatic and political means that guarantee the restoration of security and stability and avoid civilians to be exposed to any losses or damages as a result of armed clashes on the borders between the two countries, and to alleviate the human effects resulting from them, and negative repercussions on their security and stability.
The Kingdom believes that the dialogue is the only way to find a peaceful solution to any dispute between Syria and Lebanon, and to reach a consensus on the frameworks and mechanisms of this solution in a way that enhances global security and stability.
The Kingdom emphasizes the need to preserve the stability of Syria and Lebanon, respect the sovereignty of the two countries, according to the principles of international law, good neighborhood, and the need to coordinate between them in a way that preserves their sovereignty and stability, in light of the need of both brotherly countries that are urgent to impose the authority of the state, and to address internal and external challenges.

The meeting of the defense ministers of the two countries with Saudi sponsorship

The Syrian and Lebanese people are holding out broad hopes for the success of the two countries’ defense ministers under Saudi sponsorship, for their confidence in the leadership of the Kingdom and in its positive and active role to support the two brotherly countries in various fields.
The outputs of the Syrian and Lebanese defense ministers will contribute to discussing ways to enhance border security between the two countries, combat drug smuggling and enhance security and regional stability.

Facing threat factors
