"Dua": 4.51 % growth in commercial electricity delivery requests through a service "Mosquito" In 2024

Dubai, March 31 / WAM / The Dubai Electricity and Water Authority “Dua” announced the achievement of remarkable growth in the demand for the “law service”, which is intended for electricity delivery to commercial projects, as it recorded an increase of 4.51% in the number of requests received during the year 2024 compared to 2023.
His Excellency Saeed Mohammed Al -Tayer, Managing Director, CEO of the Authority, stressed that this rise reflects the continuous development and economic and urban prosperity witnessed in the Emirate of Dubai, and confirms the authority’s keenness to keep pace with this growth and meet the increasing demand for electricity and water services with high vigor.
The “Ashine service” provides consultants and contractors accredited to the authority with a quick and simple mechanism to deliver electricity to projects whose loads reach 150 kilowatts within only 5 days and through two steps, as the number of applications for delivering electricity to projects reached 8,241 requests during the year 2024.
His Excellency Saeed Al -Tayer said: We are witnessing an increasing demand for the services of the smart authority provided to consultants and contractors, which reflects the success of our efforts to enhance Dubai competitiveness in the field of facilitating business practice; Based on the Dubai Economic Agency (D33), we continue to develop our strong and leading infrastructure, and we rely on innovation and the use of the latest technologies and solutions to provide integrated digital services that contribute to facilitating the work of our partners and enhancing Dubai’s position as a preferred global destination for investment, noting that the number of consultants and contractors accredited to the authority has reached 2,123 consultants and contractors until December 31, 2024.
Engineer Rashid bin Humaidan, CEO of the President for the Energy Distribution Sector in “Diwa”, stressed the commitment of the authority to provide smart and innovative services and programs to accelerate access to electricity and water services according to the highest international standards and practices, pointing to the authority to provide the authority for a set of services and other supportive initiatives for consultants and contractors such as the “Saqour” program, and the feature of “smart facilities”, and the “Aouna Aoun” initiative. In addition to providing an updated technical guide for non -reluctance certificates of infrastructure projects.
The Authority also allows consultants and contractors to conduct all their transactions at any time and from anywhere with ease and safety through the smart application or the authority’s website without the need to visit the customer’s happiness centers of the authority.
