The discovery of a huge oil field in the South China Sea

Beijing on April 1 / WAM / The Chinese National Maritime Oil Company announced yesterday, Monday, the discovery of a large oil field in the east of the South China Sea, with certain reserves exceeding 100 million tons.
The company added that the newly discovered “Howisho” oil field represents a breakthrough in China’s exploration of marine oil, as it is the first integrated, integrated oil field in the country to be discovered in the deep layers to the deep depth.
The oil field is about 170 km from the city of Chentins, in the southern China’s Guangdong Province, at the average water depth of 100 meters.

The test drilling resulted in the production of 413 barrels of crude oil and 68 thousand cubic meters of natural gas per day.
According to the company, oil and gas exploration in the deep layers faces highly deep challenges represented by high temperatures, high pressure and complex conditions.
