Figures: The annual inflation rate in the Eurozone increased during the month of March


Record rate Annual inflation in Inflation in all European Union countries rose to 2.8%, compared to 2.1% in the previous month.
Data issued by the European Statistical Office (Eurostat) showed that the inflation rate in the euro area had reached 2.2% in March of 2025, while the European Union recorded 2.5% during the same period last year.

Denmark has the lowest inflation rates

Among the member states, Denmark recorded the lowest annual inflation rates. with a rate of 1.0%, followed by the Czech Republic, Cyprus and Sweden with a rate of 1.5% each.
While Romania topped the list of countries with the highest inflation with a rate of 9.0%, followed by Croatia with a rate of 4.6% and then Lithuania with a rate of 4.4%.

Statistical data indicated that inflation rates witnessed a decline in 3 member states during the month of last March compared to the month of February, and stabilized in one country, while recording an increase in 23 other countries.

Continuing price pressures

This rise reflects the continuation of price pressures in the euro zone economy, which may prompt the European Central Bank to be patient in making any decisions related to easing monetary policy during the coming period.
