National Guard: The implementation of 168 search and rescue operations on land and sea inside and outside the country during the first quarter

Abu Dhabi, April 2 / WAM / The National Guard Command announced the implementation of 168 search and rescue operations on land and sea, inside and outside the country, during the first quarter of 2025, (from January 1 to March 31), as part of the continuous efforts of the National Guard to enhance the immediate response to emergency and accidents, in the “Year of Society”.

The Coast Guard Group carried out 23 search and rescue operations in the waters of the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of ​​Oman, during the first quarter of 2025, while the National Center for Research and Rescue carried out 145 operations during the same period, which included 34 medical search and rescue operations in cooperation with the competent authorities, 9 medical transport and air ambulance inside the country, 4 similar operations outside the state, and other operations.

The National Guard Command emphasized that these operations embody its commitment to providing highly efficient services in the general community, using the latest technologies and equipment, to ensure the safety of lives and rapid intervention in various circumstances and geographical regions, calling on the public to communicate with the search and rescue emergency line on the number (995), and the Coast Guard emergency line on the number (996) to report any emergency cases that require immediate assistance or intervention.
