Ali Al -Nuaimi participates in two meetings of the International Parliamentary Union in Tashkent
Tashkent, April 4/ WAM/ His Excellency Dr. Ali Rashid Al -Nuaimi, President of the Parliamentary Division of the Federal National Council in the International Parliamentary Union, representative of the Arab Geopolitical Group in the Federation’s Executive Committee, participated in the meetings of the 295th session of the Executive Committee, and the gender partnership group meeting, which was held in the Republic of Uzbekistan in the capital, Tashkent.
During the meeting of the Executive Committee, which chaired an aspect of Dr. Ali Al -Nuaimi, the report of the President of the International Parliamentary Union, the financial issues of the union, the union’s initiatives in parliamentary diplomacy, the human rights committee for parliamentarians, and the discussion of the work of the General Assembly 150 of the Federation.
The committee reviewed the communication strategy of the International Parliamentary Union, the issues of cooperation with the United Nations, the results of the preparation for the Kremer-Bassi Award, the results of the work team on transparency, accountability and openness, the election of the deputies of the Chairman of the Executive Committee and the President of the Federation, in addition to the proposed amendments to the Federation’s articles of association.
On the other hand, His Excellency the President of the International Parliamentary Union, His Excellency Dr. Ali Al -Nuaimi, honored his active period of representation of the Arab Jihad Group in the Four years of Executive Committee.
His Excellency Dr. Ali Al -Nuaimi also chaired the gender partnership group meeting, where the proposed amendments were discussed to enhance gender balance in the leadership of the union, and administrative and procedural amendments in the sub -committees and bodies to ensure the representation of gender balance in the union.
