Democratic Prime Minister of the Congo: Our natural and human wealth makes us a promising investment destination

Abu Dhabi, April 7 / WAM / His Excellency Judith Suminoa, Prime Minister of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, confirmed that her country represents an investment rich in opportunities, based on the diversity of its natural resources and its abundance in various parts of the country.
Her Excellency, in a statement to Emirates News Agency “WAM” on the sidelines of the “AIM Investment Summit 2025” held in Abu Dhabi, said that mineral wealth constitutes one of the most prominent strengths in the Congo economy, where the majority of resources in the south and the east are concentrated, while recent discoveries have shown the presence of valuable and strategic minerals in the central and western regions of the country, which enhances the geographical diversity of muddy opportunities.
With an area of more than 2.3 million square kilometers, the Prime Minister explained that the agricultural sector represents a huge opportunity, as the Democratic Republic of the Congo has approximately 80% of the lands suitable for agriculture, which paves the way not only to enhance production, but to develop value -added industries through local treatment.
It also highlighted the abundance of water resources and renewable energy, giving it tremendous potential to produce clean and green energy, which enhances the status of the Congo as a major destination for investment in multiple sectors.
She added that the population constitutes a strategic element in the vision of growth, with the population of the Congo about 120 million people, young people under the age of twenty -five constitute about 60 % of the total population, creating a huge base of workforce and a huge consumer market at the same time.
In another aspect of her speech, Judith Suminoa expressed her pride that she would be the first woman to serve as Prime Minister of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, considering that this step represents a message of hope and empowerment of young women in her country, stressing that education is the basic stone for this empowerment as the free primary education was approved, which provided an opportunity for more children and girls to enroll in schools and contribute to building the future from leadership and professional sites.
