Al -Qassim Heart Center saves the life of a Sudanese infant

A medical team specialized in the heart of the children at the Prince Sultan Center for Heart Medicine and Surgery in Al -Qassim saved one of the components of the Qassim Health Gathering, the life of a Sudanese baby who was only five days old, and weighs 3.2 kilograms, after he was transferred in a critical condition after suffering from severe narrowing of the pulmonary valve. Immediate, and thanks to God, the medical team succeeded in performing a heart catheterization process to expand the pulmonary valve using the balloon, which was successful and the child’s condition settled after the operation.

The assembly indicated that this condition comes as part of a series of medical achievements that the Prince Sultan Center continues to achieve, as the first quarter of 2025 witnessed more than 70 cardiac catheterization operations for children, praise be to God – with success.

It is worth noting that the center is among the most prominent specialized centers in the Kingdom in the fields of heart medicine and adults, and continues its leadership in providing advanced medical services, which contributes to saving lives and enhancing the quality of life.
