Sharjah Chamber supports the leading national projects

Sharjah, April 9 / WAM / The Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry affirmed its keenness to embrace and support the leading national projects aimed at reviving and enhancing the authentic Emirati heritage and contributing to diversifying the economic base of the Emirate of Sharjah and the UAE, pointing to the importance of highlighting innovative projects in this framework and highlighting its valuable contributions in enhancing the state’s position as a leading destination for sustainable environmental tourism that is based on the ingredients Unique heritage and natural.
This came during the visit of His Excellency Abdullah Sultan Al -Owais, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and a number of members of the Board of Directors of the Sharjah Chamber and His Excellency Mohamed Ahmed Amin Al -Awadi, Director General of the Sharjah Chamber to the Al Suwaidi Al -Swedish farm located in the Rams area in the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah, which was established in 2005 on the initiative of Abdullah Rashid Al -Suwaidi as the first farm to produce pearls in the Arabian Gulf waters to revive the pearl hunting heritage and highlight its historical value Heritage and economic.
During his tour, the Sharjah Chamber delegation listened to a detailed explanation from Abdullah Rashid Al Suwaidi, founder of the farm, about the process of pearl cultivation that follows accurate and scientific methods and relies on environmentally friendly practices where the farm uses solar energy to operate its facilities and contributes to preserving biological diversity in the region and protecting the marine ecosystem as well as oyster farming in natural ways.
Al -Owais praised the initiative to create and develop the farm and enhance its role in preserving the ancient craft in which the ancestors are linked, stressing that such initiatives deserve support and encouragement because of the heritage, economic and tourist value it represents, and pointed out that the visit of the Chamber’s delegation to this project comes within the framework of its strategy to support sustainable national projects that combine originality and contemporary.
He noted the sponsorship of the chamber of the chain of exhibitions specialized in the jewelry and precious stones sector witnessed in the Emirate of Sharjah and highlights the rare natural pearls and the leading historical position occupied by the emirate in the field of pearl trade and fishing and enhancing the sustainability of the marine heritage, which is an integral part of the authentic Emirati heritage.
Abdullah Rashid Al -Suwaidi pointed out that the visit of the Chamber’s delegation represents support for the Al Suwaidi pearl farm, which represents a pioneering model in this field, especially as it is the only one of its kind in the region and the world in which the oysters are normal to multiply and cultivate.
He said that the farm takes advantage of the fresh rain water that descends from the mountains, which makes it the perfect place for pearl growth and prosperity, and it also provides a unique tourism and cultural experience for visitors who come to the farm daily within the tourist groups and pearl lovers.
