The International Court of Justice considers the first sessions of the lawsuit filed by Sudan against the UAE

The Hague, April 10 / WAM / The International Court of Justice began this morning in The Hague, the first sessions of the lawsuit filed by the Sudanese Armed Forces against the UAE, in which it accused without any legal basis or realistic document of violating its obligations under the genocide agreement in relation to the attacks launched by the Sudanese Rapid Support Forces and allied factions against the ethnic Masalit group in West Darfur.

Analysts believe that the lawsuit lacks evidence and proofs, and is nothing but a flimsy attempt by the Sudanese armed forces, one of the two parties to the conflict, to distract from the catastrophic conflict that is taking place in Sudan and its responsibility towards it and the resulting killing of tens of thousands of people and the displacement of millions of the Sudanese people, and causing famine in large parts of the country.
