المملكة: Medina farmers start the “Serban” palm to enhance the quality of production
Al -Madinah Al -Munawwarah farmers began carrying out the “Sarban” palm process, which aims to reduce the number of fruits in the taste, as part of efforts to improve the quality of dates and raise the efficiency of production.
The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Cooperative Association for Dates in Madinah Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al -Raddadi explained that the process of relieving taste and its sacrifices is one of the agricultural practices with a great positive impact, and contributes to improving the quality of the crop, preserving the health of the palm and enhancing its economic and food value.
Benefits of Serban
Al -Raddadi pointed out that the “scabies” increases the size of the fruits, improves their color and reduces pressure on the palm, which enables enhance the flow of air and light between taste, and this practice contributes to raising the productivity of the palm and improving the quality of fruits and reducing the spread of pests and diseases, especially those that affect the fruits of high market value.

He drew attention to the fact that the “Serban” process contributes to raising the economic return of the palm and achieving stability in its annual productivity by reducing the fluctuation in the amount and quality of the fruits, which contributes to reducing the phenomenon of “resistance”, which is characterized by the varying production of the palm tree from one season to another.
