The former British Prime Minister calls for a renewed global charter and “a world that can everyone”

After a week, it started with the worst financial fluctuation in modern history, and ended with the most dangerous escalation so far in the Chinese -American conflict, it is time to distinguish between “radical transformations” and “tremors”.
And if nothing changes, the twenties of the 21st century may be mentioned as the “Satan’s contract” in this century, a term previously used by historians to describe the thirties of the last century. Its definition will not be limited to as the contract that has eliminated seven million people because of the “Kovid-19”, in which there is increased poverty and disparity between the world’s population, but rather the contract that has been a witness to the torn Ukraine, the burned Gaza, and the atrocities that do not have sufficient media coverage in Africa and Asia, all of which are a testament to our replacement “a global system based on the rules” to be replaced by a “system based on power.”
In fact, every part of the old system of the attack is exposed, not only with regard to free trade, but also due to the lack of law, the absence of human rights and democracy, the lack of recognition of the right to self -determination, and multilateral cooperation between states, including the human and environmental responsibilities that we have ever accepted as global citizens.
There is no doubt that the transformations in the powers are part of history. In two centuries, four global systems emerged and the first two systems have emerged: the “balance of powers” that arose after the defeat of the French leader Napoleon Bonapart The post -1945 system, led by the United States and the United Nations. With the disintegration of the Soviet Union and “Warsaw Pact” after 1990, the regime that the late US President George Bush Senior appeared “the new world order.”
As the balance of economic powers turned east at the present time, and the emergence of a new commercial doctrine, what was previously called “Washington’s consensus” is no longer supported anywhere in the world, especially in Washington. Millions reject the system of globalization as “available to all” and it was not fair, because it does not represent an open trade, but on the contrary it places restrictions on trade and falsely promotes the road of prosperity.
The tactical trick adopted by US President Donald Trump is to take advantage of the deep transformations that reshape political geography in the world, and took advantage of the wide gap between the benefits of globalization and what it achieved in people’s daily lives, and on this basis it has become the most prominent anti -globalization. He also benefited from social media campaigns, and sought to revive the historical theory of “great man”, and is looking forward to reaching the status of populist leaders who can define the agenda.
However, Trump’s absolute fluctuations vow more dangerous. It seems that the slogan “Let the chaos prevails and does not rest in its restriction” is the beloved slogan, and while there is hope that the situation will return to its nature soon, what Trump does does not seem to be a logical basis for any future planning.
With the escalation of the confrontation between the United States and China to new levels, the question that arises is: Are we descending towards two systems, or are we simply heading towards the chaos that distinguished most of the previous centuries? Is there any opportunity to build a stable and sustainable global system?
It is clear from what resulted from the recent events, the impossibility of restoring the fourth world order, as we not only live in a “more protective” era, but we also move from a unipolar world in which the United States was the only dominant power to a world that includes multiple decision -making centers. Since we live in a more connected world, we are more vulnerable to crises that range from epidemics and climatic emergency situations to financial infection.
The matter gets worse because the countries, as we have seen, can take advantage of this interdependence and the suffocation points that Trump creates for his own benefit, so if we want to reach a system based on values, then we must at some point we agree on a modern global charter for our joint future, based on the “Atlantic Charter” for the year 1941 and the “United Nations Charter” for the year 1945, but it is designed For a completely different century. All countries that believe in international cooperation should pledge, through new pluralism, to provide global solutions to what has now become inevitable.
We have to seek to build a bridge to communicate with skeptics such as Trump, by agreeing with him on the need to “reciprocate”, and to share the burdens fairly between countries. Because this world is burdened with debt, we have to suggest innovative and fair ways to collect the resources necessary to convert these obligations into actions. By addressing the failure of the era of globalization, we can all strive for a world not only open to trade, but also accommodates all those who failed to knee.
