The “Aswan International” festival honors the star Kinda Alloush in the “Umm Kulthum” course

The administration of the Aswan International Film Festival for Women’s Films announced the honor of the Syrian star, Kinda Alloush, during the opening of the ninth session of the festival, which is scheduled to be held from May 2 to 7, which will be held under the name “Kawkab Al Sharq Umm Kulthum”, to celebrate the fifty years since its departure, and in honor of its contribution to Arab and Egyptian women’s creativity.
The festival administration confirmed that honoring Kinda Alloush comes in appreciation of its unique talent and its rich cinematic career, during which it cooperated with a group of directors in Egypt and Syria, and succeeded in embodying women’s personalities representing the aspirations and suffering of women in our societies.

Creativity symbol

While Kinda Alloush expressed her great happiness with honor, noting the importance of the festival, as it celebrates women’s cinema, and she expressed her pride that the honor comes in a course bearing the name “Umm Kulthum”, the symbol of creativity and technical empowerment.
Recent years have witnessed Kinda’s brilliance in a global nature, such as the movie “Explanation” with the director Sadad Kanan, who won the Prize of the Audience at the Venice Festival, and the film “The two swimmers” with the director Sally Al -Husseini, who was shown at the opening of the Toronto Film Festival and also participated in the London and Cairo festivals, along with the movie “The Yellow Bus” by American director Wendi Bernars, who was shared with stars From Indian cinema.
