“Cyber Security” launches the first national program for cybersecurity awards
Abu Dhabi, April 14/ WAM/ The Cyber Security Council for the UAE government announced the launch of the first national program of its kind for appreciation prizes in the field of cybersecurity, in a pioneering initiative aimed at enhancing competition between various institutions, companies and creative individuals in this vital field, and stimulating talents to creativity and innovation, in a way that contributes to consolidating the position of the entrepreneurial state regionally and globally.
The program aims to shed light on the best and successful practices and models, and to explore the ways to benefit from them and use them in light of the accelerated growth of the cybersecurity sector, which today constitutes a basic corner for achieving sustainable development and enhancing innovation and flexibility in various sectors.
The program represents a strategic step to honor the efforts of pioneers and innovators in the field of cybersecurity, consolidate the culture of excellence, creativity and innovation, and enhance the spirit of leadership and positive competition, to keep pace with the rapid digital transformations witnessed by the world.
The goals of the program are in line with the UAE’s vision aimed at adopting a proactive approach in the face of cyber threats, highlighting the stories of success and leading innovations, as well as enhancing societal awareness, and building a flexible culture based on cooperation between various sectors.
The launch of the program comes from the directives of the rational leadership to enhance the state’s position on the map of global digital leadership, and to consolidate its presence as a center of excellence in the areas of cybersecurity, by continuously highlighting the successful models and distinguished practices that can be applied in various fields.
The launch of appreciation prizes confirms the commitment of the Cyber Security Council to advance the wheel of innovation and development, enhance the state’s capabilities in addressing renewable cyber threats, and supporting efforts to transform the UAE into a global center for expertise and competencies in this field, as well as enabling young national competencies to lead a sustainable knowledge and cognitive economy, based on creativity and adopting innovative solutions and projects.
His Excellency Dr. Mohamed Hamad Al -Kuwaiti, Head of Cyber Security of the UAE government, said that the launching of excellence in cybersecurity is an extension of the national efforts aimed at stimulating talents to develop innovative digital solutions that contribute to facing challenges and changes in the cybersecurity.
His Excellency added that by honoring excellence and innovation at the level of individuals and institutions, we are not only celebrated with achievements, but also we get them the next generation of cybersecurity experts to explore new horizons and expand the limits of possible in this vital field.
The initiative aims to embrace winning projects and leading creative ideas, enabling institutions, companies and individuals to work in a stimulating and competitive environment that contributes to achieving leadership, and ensuring a safe and sustainable digital future.
The award ceremony is scheduled to be held on June 18, 2025 in “Space 42 Arena” in Abu Dhabi, with the announcement of details related to the categories of awards, nomination standards, and other relevant developments.
