An expansion project aims to enhance health care quality and easy access to services for Abu Dhabi patients

“Mediclinic Middle East”, one of the most prominent private health care institutions in the United Arab Emirates, which runs facilities in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and Dubai, has announced a significant investment of more than 120 million dirhams in its main facility, Mediclinic, Airport Street Hospital in the capital, Abu Dhabi.

This investment will be used to expand and develop the medical infrastructure in the hospital, which contributes to enhancing the ability to provide high -quality medical services to patients and their families throughout the emirate.

This investment was announced during the “Abu Dhabi International Health Week 2025”, the major government initiative launched by the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi, which aims to enhance the future of health and wellness.

The expansion project, which has started to work on, includes the development of several major sections in the hospital, including adding new consulting rooms, expanding the operating room complex, creating new units for the endoscopy, and increasing the absorptive capacity of the daily care beds.

The project will also include adding new birth rooms and increasing the capacity of the intensive care unit for newborns (Nicu).

Mediclinic was founded in Airport Street Hospital in 2008, and provides a wide range of advanced medical services for resident patients and external auditors.

The hospital also witnessed a great expansion in 2021 with the addition of a new building that doubled the total area of ​​the hospital, and included the construction of a comprehensive cancer treatment center with the latest technology.

Work has started in the new project currently, and it is being implemented in stages in the coming months, with the continued provision of all current services without interruption.

The project is expected to be completed by early 2026.
