“Emirates Media” frustrates the entry of 9,000 content that violates 2024

The Emirates Media Council revealed its success in thwarting the entry of more than 9,000 content that violates the standards of media content, while it agreed to enter more than a million titles to the country by the end of 2024.

He explained in a report exposed, today, during the Federal National Council session, on the efforts of the Emirates Media Council in preserving the national identity and societal values, that last year, the Council witnessed the follow -up and classification of more than 1262 movie films, in addition to following up and classifying more than 375 games.

Regarding the granting of permissions for the texts of the series, films and plays presented in the country, the Emirates Media Council indicated that it authorized 149 texts, besides carrying out about 5 thousand and 500 inspection rounds on companies and libraries to ensure the publications obtained the necessary permits.
