The best drinks and foods to enhance students’ concentration while studying online

In light of the widespread spread of distance education, providing nutritional and psychological support to students while studying online has become an essential element to ensure focus and achieve the best academic results.

Healthy snacks and drinks play a prominent role in maintaining the energy levels and attention of children and adolescents, away from the negative effects of sugars and soft drinks.

Among the best drinks that parents can offer to students during classes: water, which keeps the body hydrated and maintains mental activity, and natural, unsweetened fruit juices, such as orange or apple juice, because they contain vitamins that help enhance concentration. Light herbal drinks, such as chamomile and mint, are also a good choice to provide a feeling of calm and comfort while studying.

As for foods, all kinds of nuts, such as almonds and walnuts, stand out because they contain essential fatty acids that enhance brain activity, in addition to fresh fruits and cut vegetables, which give the body energy without burdening the stomach. Slices of cheese or natural yogurt are also good sources of protein, which supports mental performance and reduces feelings of hunger between classes.

Although nutrition is important, rest periods between classes are equally important. Experts advise that students do light activities to move the body, such as stretching exercises or walking indoors, which helps stimulate blood circulation and refocus when returning to lessons. Students can also play short mental games or relax for five to ten minutes with deep breathing, to enhance attention and replenish mental energy.

In general, the combination of healthy food, adequate hydration, and light activities during breaks provides students with the optimal environment for studying online, and enhances their ability to concentrate and learn effectively, away from mental and physical fatigue and exhaustion.
