Abu Dhabi, April 17 / WAM / His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Chairman of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, witnessed the opening ceremony of the “Tim Lab Phenomina Abu Dhabi” digital museum, which displays various interactive artistic experiences, as part of efforts to enrich the cultural and artistic scene in the cultural area of Saadiyat.
During the opening of the museum, His Highness stressed the importance of this new cultural and artistic edifice in consolidating the emirate’s position as a leading destination to embrace various forms of innovative arts, praising the efforts made by the relevant authorities and institutions to enrich the cultural, artistic and creative scene at the emirate level.
His Highness pointed out that the opening of this museum reflects the interest that the wise leadership attaches to enhancing cultural innovation, supporting artistic knowledge, and continuing to consolidate the emirate’s position as a meeting place for cultural exchange and civilization communication through art and culture.
On this occasion, His Excellency Mohamed Khalifa Al Mubarak, Head of the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi said: “The Tim Lab Phenomina Abu Dhabi Museum represents a qualitative addition in the world of interactive art at the global level, as it embodies an ambitious vision that is transmitted by visitors on an artistic journey that exceeds the limits of creativity, technology and arts.”
His Excellency added: “We are proud to cooperate with the Tim Lab team to complete this exceptional artistic project, which reflects our firm commitment to providing global cultural experiences that contribute to enriching the cultural scene of Abu Dhabi, and enhances the position of the cultural region in Saadiyat as a cultural and artistic destination that attracts cultural talents and leading global creative institutions to promote cultural dialogue and consolidate the foundations of cultural communication.”

The ceremony witnessed the attendance of a number of major cultural figures, which included a special music show for the famous Italian pianist and musician Ludovico Enaudi, accompanied by air shows of 6,000 unmanned drones with fireworks, in celebration of this new cultural achievement in the cultural area of Saadiyat Island.
The “Tim Lab Phenomina Abu Dhabi” museum extends over an area of 17,000 square meters, which is the fruit of cooperation between the international artistic group “Tim Lab” and the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi, where this artistic experience reflects the continuous efforts of the emirate to support creativity and cultural innovation at the global level, by providing transformative artworks that combine art, science and technology in various forms and artworks.
The “Tim Lab Phenomina Abu Dhabi” museum was designed to unleash the artistic imagination of the visitors, as the artistic design of each art piece develops through the interaction between light, sound and movement.
Unlike traditional artworks, the works of this museum are distinguished by the interaction of artwork with the surrounding environment and the response to visitors and natural changes, creating a live artistic experience that beats interacting with visitors.
The museum consists of two distinct regions: the dry area and the wet area, where visitors live a series of experiences represented in a number of charming scenes, vibrant scenes and interactive structures through which the boundaries between art and the public fade fade.
