"Sharjah Fish Resources" Discuss the development of the fishing sector in Kalba

Sharjah, April 18/ WAM/ The Sharjah Fish Resources Authority discussed, during its meeting yesterday at the headquarters of the Kalba Cooperative Association for Fisheries, ways to enhance direct communication with fishermen and see their needs, improve the services provided to them, and develop future plans that contribute to supporting and upgrading the fishing sector

The meeting was attended by His Excellency Ali Ahmed Abu Ghazayin, Chairman of the Authority, Salem Al -Mahrazi, Director of the Authority, members of the Associationโ€™s Board of Directors and a number of specialists.

His Excellency Ali Ahmed Abu Ghazayen stressed that the visit of the Claba Cooperative Association for Fisheries, comes within the framework of the authorityโ€™s keenness to enhance its partnerships with cooperative societies for fishermen, through direct communication with them and listening to their observations and aspirations, stressing that the common goal is to develop the fishing sector in a way that guarantees its sustainability and supports its workers.

He expressed his appreciation for the great role that every fisherman plays to preserve the marine heritage, noting that the authority is working to overcome the challenges facing them and provide possible facilities in cooperation with the relevant authorities to ensure a stimulating and safe work environment.

The meeting reviewed a number of initiatives that the authority and the association intend to cooperate, especially the development of work mechanisms within the association, improving the administrative and technical services provided to fishermen, and enhancing joint coordination to ensure the continuity of the fishing sector in the emirate.
