Maryam Karim guides the UAE first Asian gold in the junior competitions

Qatif, April 18/ WAM/ Maryam Karim won the hostility of our national athletics team, the first Asian gold medal for the UAE in the junior category, yesterday evening, in the final of the 400 -meter barriers, in the sixth Asian Championship competitions for the youth and young agencies under 18 years, in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, with the participation of 29 countries.
Karim recorded 59.55 seconds, achieving a historic achievement, by harvesting the first gold of the Emirates in this category, in addition to registering a new country in the 400 -meter barriers, and breaking the record for the Asian U -18 Championship, for Chinese Enemy Liange Yina in 2017 “59.71” seconds.
Uzbek running came to the second one, 01: 01.40 minutes.
The runner Maryam Karim presented distinguished levels in the championship, with a strong launch in the preliminary qualifiers for the final, achieving the first place with a time of 1: 01.87 minutes.
Major General Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Al -Murr, President of the Emirates Athletics Federation, stressed that what Maryam Karim achieved is not only a personal achievement, but rather a distinguished result of the state, and a milestone in the UAE athletics march, especially that it is the first gold as a continent, and it is kept while breaking the Asian number.
