Kuwaiti authorities withdraw citizenship from 962 people

The Kuwaiti Ministry of Interior announced, yesterday, Thursday, the withdrawal of citizenship from 962 people for several reasons.

The ministry said in a statement on its official account on the “X” platform, that the committee decided the following:

“He lost a Kuwaiti citizenship certificate in accordance with Article (11) of the Kuwaiti Nationality Law No. 15 of 1959 AD and its amendments, which are 13 cases (for double).

“The withdrawal of a Kuwaiti citizenship certificate in accordance with Article (21 Makra) from the Kuwaiti Nationality Law No. 15 of 1959 AD and its amendments, which are 186 cases of fraud and false statements (forgery) and whoever has acquired it with them by dependency.

The Kuwaiti Ministry of Interior stated that it was decided to “withdraw Kuwaiti citizenship in accordance with Article 13 paragraphs (1) of the Nationality Law No. 15 of 1959 AD and its amendments, and they are 82 cases of fraud and false statements (forgery) and whoever has acquired it with them by dependency.”
