Abdul Malik bin Kayed: The UAE pays great attention to heritage and museums since the Zayed era

In this context, His Excellency Sheikh Abdul -Malik bin Kayed Al Qasimi, Special Adviser to His Highness the Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, praised the generous care that the rational state leadership of museums attaches those lofty castles of knowledge and civilization.
His Excellency is an inspiring stature in the preservation of heritage, and a living witness to this passion by establishing his own museum, which tells chapters from the history of the region.
In an exclusive interview with the Emirates News Agency “WAM” on the occasion of World Heritage Day, His Excellency Sheikh Abdul -Malik bin Kayed Al Qasimi recalled the beginnings of the UAE’s interest in heritage and documenting the lives of parents and grandparents, stressing that the seed of this interest was installed by the founder, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, “may God rest his soul”, and he went on his path of rational leadership in reviving the popular heritage and providing it to the emerging generations, to get to know the details The life of the ancestors, and the Abu Dhabi government congratulated its pioneering initiative to prepare for the Zayed Museum, the founder, may God have mercy on him, who is waiting for everyone with passion.
His Excellency pointed out that the private museums created by citizens who are passionate about heritage, along with castles and forts and many sites that preserve the memory of the past, offer the world a valuable message about the originality of our local heritage that the grandparents created, in addition to the public museums, as this is a shining proof that our rational leadership is keen on preserving the heritage and presenting it in its best forms.
And on the story of the establishment of his own heritage museum, His Excellency Sheikh Abdul -Malik bin Kayed revealed that the motivation is his passion for documenting the history and transformations of the ancient UAE, and the types of homes that grandparents in the past and the simple furniture and tools contained, whether in the tall mountains or on the warm coast A Qur’an in the world and the smallest, whose size does not exceed one inch.
His Excellency emphasized that this passion for heritage holdings is only an echo of our wise leadership approach that celebrates heritage and devotes their efforts to preserving and spreading it among the youth of today, noting that the museum’s corners tell stories from the past that the current generations have not contemporary, including hundreds of rare pictures of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and his founding brothers, “may God bless them”, which commemorates the first moments to establish the union In addition to the manuscripts and messages of commercial sales that date back to hundreds of years, and monitor the details of commercial exchanges in the ancient history of Ras Al Khaimah.
His Excellency Sheikh Abdul -Malik bin Kayed Al Qasimi added that his passion for heritage prompted him to create this private museum in the Si -Zahra area in Ras Al Khaimah, and it was the first piece collected in 1961, and today, the museum includes thousands of precious artifacts, including a legendary sword made in Solgen, Germany, and a Portuguese sword dating back to the sixteenth century and found in the mountains of Ras Al Khaimah and engraved on it. To traditional Islamic weapons dating back to the twelfth century AD, the time of Al -Fateh Salahuddin Al -Ayyubi.
Sheikh Abdul -Malik bin Kayed Al Qasimi explained that the museum includes treasures of heritage rifles, some of which dates back to 1400 AD, including a rare rifle made in 1430 and carrying an exquisite Arab inscription “victory from God and open open”, and was made in Britain, in addition to huge guns that resemble the defender and reach a length of 170 centimeters.
He pointed out that the old guns are an inherent part of our popular heritage, because of its importance and link with courage and its use in wars and defense in the past in the UAE, especially the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah, where parents were creative in decorating it with gold and silver, which made it archaeological symbols for our ancient history.
He said that the corner of the swords in the museum contains an artistic antiques, the most famous of which is the swords of Qawasim dating back to 250 years and witnessed their championships in defending the emirate, in addition to mysterious swords whose origin has not been revealed yet, and it is distinguished by its unique composer and their minimum that contains knives and inscriptions dating back to the year 1215 AD, as the museum includes swords that are attributed to the leader Salahuddin Al -Ayyubi dating back to the year 1231 AD.
He pointed out that the swordy wing includes more than hundreds of various swords, in addition to a group of sortals and traditional Islamic weapons, some of which date back to the twelfth century AD.
The museum embraces between its walls hundreds of pottery and “Al -Qishani” porcelain in various sizes and shapes, some of which dates back to the prosperous Islamic ages, in addition to the metal utensils that boast with their exact patterns and the beauty of their manufacture, and sparkling wooden panels in which verses from the Holy Qur’an are engraved with copies and coffee lines, and a large group of manuscripts and the great Qur’an, manually. The museum also includes other treasures such as thousands of old currencies, gemstones, wooden and iron restrictions that narrate the stories of the past, the artillery that participated in the battles of time, and other holdings that preserve the memory of parents and grandparents.
