"Energy and infrastructure" Participate in the electric vehicle exhibition and conference

Abu Dhabi, April 19 / WAM / The Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure is participating in the activities of the fourth edition of the Evis 2025 Electric Exhibition and Conference, which will be held in Abu Dhabi from April 21 to 23 in the Denik Abu Dhabi Center with the participation of a group of experts, decision makers and representatives of major international companies specialized in electrical transportation technologies.
During its participation, the Ministry reviews the efforts of the UAE in supporting the infrastructure of electric vehicles, especially through the establishment of the Emirates Capital Vehicle Charging Stations (UAEV), which is a strategic step to provide an advanced infrastructure at the state level, keeping pace with the growing demand for electric vehicles, and facilitates individuals and society to shift towards low -emissions transportation.
During the exhibition, the third edition of the Council of Electric Car Manufacturers, which is organized by the Ministry annually, will be held in order to enhance cooperation with electric car makers from the private sector, with the aim of identifying the challenges facing the sector and working to develop common solutions to it.
The Ministry highlights its contributions to the formulation of national policies and initiatives, and enhancing integration with the federal and local bodies, in a way that supports the sustainable movement system and keeps pace with the state’s targets in turning towards the green economy, and displays the latest developments and achievements that the state has achieved towards turning to electric vehicles.
His Excellency Eng. Sharif Al -Alami, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure for Energy and Petroleum Affairs, stressed that the UAE is moving steadily towards strengthening the electrical movement system, by developing a comprehensive infrastructure that relies on innovation and clean technology, which contributes to reducing carbon emissions and achieving the state’s targets in reaching climate neutrality by 2050.
He pointed out that the ministry continues to enhance its cooperation with its partners in the government and private sectors, to implement quality projects that include the expansion of shipping stations and the update of legislative frameworks, as well as stimulating investments in smart transportation technologies, explaining that this trend reflects the Ministry’s commitment to seeing “UAE 2031” in establishing an integrated and sustainable infrastructure, and developing the transport sector in a way that supports the comprehensive development process and enhances the quality of life.
He explained that the exhibition is an ideal platform for exchanging experiences and reviewing the latest global innovations in the field of electric vehicles, as well as a strategic opportunity for the UAE to consolidate its leadership in adopting sustainable movement and clean energy at the regional and global levels.
