Sharjah, April 19 / WAM / The Arabic Language Complex in Sharjah celebrated its headquarters to graduate a student and academic delegation from the Catholic University of the Catholic Heart in Milan – Italy, which included 11 male and female students within an intense linguistic, cultural and tourism program.
The complex organized an intense linguistic, cultural and tourist program with the aim of enhancing the skills of the delegation participating in the Arabic language and linking them to its living culture and introducing them to the history of the Emirate of Sharjah and its historical features within a broader program for cooperation between the complex and international academic institutions within the framework of the complex’s vision to enhance the position of the Arabic language globally and develop the competencies The Sharjah as the capital of the Arab culture.
The complex established an honorary event for the visiting Italian delegation in the presence of Dr. Mamid Safi Al -Mostaghanemi, Secretary -General of the Arabic Language Complex in Sharjah, Khaled bin Butti Al -Hajri, Director General of the University City, Dr. Wael Farouk, Director of the Arab Cultural Institute at the Catholic University and Dr. Elizia Ferrero, professor of foreign language department.
Dr. Amid Safi Al -Mostaghanemi thanked the owner of Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of the Sharjah, who honors the emirate’s guests, appreciating this cultural and cultural scientific meeting that brought together students of the Catholic Catholic Heart University in Milan.
The students presented a video clip that they photographed as a gift of thanks and gratitude for the hosting in which they expressed their feelings and happiness by introducing the culture of the Sharjah and the UAE and its history and the aesthetics of the Arabic language and that opportunity to participate in extending the bridges of the cultural dialogue between Italy and the Emirates as they gave two artistic paintings to the Arab line. They wrote them themselves.
On the previous day of the graduation ceremony, Dr. Wael Farouk presented a symposium for the teacher’s “Arab Song Center” of the complex, during which he affirmed that relying on foreign languages in teaching the Arabic language to non -speakers leads to weakening the deep understanding of the language and distorting its cultural and religious image, stressing that the teaching of Arabic must be launched from within it. Its language has been presented from the early stages using foreign language teaching methods, not translating grammar and exchange terms.
