Participants in the Autism Research Conference affirms its importance in exchanging specialized experiences

Abu Dhabi, April 20 / WAM / Participants in the International Conference on Autism Research 3, whose work was launched in Abu Dhabi yesterday, stressed the importance of the conference in developing methods of dealing with autism spectrum disorder, including the use of artificial intelligence in diagnosing its causes by analyzing genetic data and nervous imaging, developing allocated intervention programs based on individual needs, and providing practical solutions to improve life quality, and promoting societal integration.
They said in statements to the Emirates News Agency “WAM” on the sidelines of the event, that the convening of the conference in the “Society 2025”, confirms the UAE’s role in supporting and enhancing efforts to empower people with determination, especially those with autism spectrum disorder, which contributes to building a coherent society that enhances human values and innovation.
Vandana Sodaher, the Social Secretary -General, and the Ambassador of the Republic of India to the UAE, stressed the importance of the pivotal role played by the conference, especially in light of the national focus of the UAE this year on the concept of “societal integration”.
She praised the continuous efforts made by specialists and practitioners to develop innovative methods in dealing with the daily challenges facing children with autism, noting that the conference constitutes a rich cognitive platform that brings together experts, researchers and practitioners from various disciplines, in a way that contributes to the exchange of the latest research and technologies in this vital field.
Sodhair expressed her pride in participating in the activities of the conference that extends over a period of four days, noting that her academic and professional background in the field of childhood development, and her experience in dealing with multiple groups of children, whether from the talented or autistic people, makes her presence in this event an experience of great value at the personal and professional level And enhance their effective integration into society.
For his part, Andy Fulkner, CEO of “Topland” company operating in the field of providing support and support services to people of determination, explained that the “Autism Experience Try” room represents an integrated sensual experience aimed at raising awareness of the challenges of autism, noting that its development was made over a period of four years with the participation of 140 children and extremely autistic people in the United Kingdom.

In turn, David Jeslak, President and founder of the American company “Exercise Connection”, stated that regular and organized physical exercise is the most important pillar in supporting and empowering people of determination, especially individuals with autism spectrum disorder, stressing that traditional sport may be appropriate often for this category, because of its elements that are not in line with their cognitive and psychological needs And behavioral.
He said that random sport may hinder the integration of people with autism due to its lack of organization and its dependence on social interaction, while organized and repeated exercises are more suitable for this group that flourishes in stable environments.
He added that strengthening individual exercises or within small groups is the most appropriate approach to stimulating physical activity in people with autism, because of its benefits that exceed the physical side to include behavioral, linguistic and social development, and reduce stereotypes.
He pointed out that recent studies have shown that exercising for 10 to 15 minutes a day is sufficient to achieve positive results, calling for the adoption of this approach as a gradually expandable starting point.
