Teaching Chinese in 174 schools .. and sending 100 teachers to China

The Ministry of Education confirmed that the Chinese language is witnessing an increasing presence on the global scene as a pivotal commercial and cultural language, which is reflected in the Kingdom’s efforts to enhance its education within government schools, in line with the targets of the Kingdom’s vision 2030.
On the occasion of the International Chinese Language Day, the Ministry revealed that the Chinese language is currently teaching in 174 government intermediate schools, as part of ambitious development plans aimed at qualifying educational cadres and attracting global experiences.
She indicated that the number of teachers polarized by China reached 171 teachers, in addition to sending 100 Saudi teachers to China, to acquire specialized skills in teaching Chinese language.
The Ministry worked to prepare specialized educational curricula in cooperation with Saudi and Chinese experts, which contributes to providing an integrated educational experience for students.
By 2030, the Ministry aims to teach the Chinese language for more than 600 thousand students in the middle and secondary levels, to enhance civilization and cultural openness with one of the largest economies of the world.
These steps come within the efforts of the Ministry of Education to consolidate the linguistic pluralism in the educational environment, and to open broad knowledge horizons for students, in line with the Kingdom’s aspirations towards building a global generation of identity and orientation.
