Al Ain on April 21 / WAM / The regular general assembly of the Emirates Cancer Society was elected the new Board of Directors, consisting of 9 members.
The new board of directors held a meeting during which he was elected by acclamation, Dr. Salem bin Rakad, Chairman of the Board of Directors, Dr. Asma Manea Saeed Ahmed Al -Otaiba as Vice -President, and Awad Salem Al -Saadi as Executive Director, Gharib Al -Saadi as Secretary of the Secretary, and Adam Al -Balushi as Secretary of the Fund.
The elected board of directors included Dr. Salem Muhammad bin Rakad Al -Amiri, Dr. Asma Manea Saeed Ahmed Al -Otaiba, Awad Salem Al -Saadi, Adam Muhammad Al -Balushi, Dr. Fatima Issa Muhammad, Youssef Abdullah Othman Batran Al -Shehhi, Muhammad Ahmed Hassan Al -Alawi Al -Dhafari, Dr. Shafi’i Saif Al -Neyadi, and Gharib Rashid Al -Saadi.
During the regular general assembly meeting of the year 2025, in the city of Al Ain with the participation of members and representatives of the official authorities, the administrative and financial report was reviewed for the past year, ratification of future plans, and discussing achievements and initiatives, as well as adopting a number of new regulatory recommendations.
Dr. Salem bin Rakad stressed that the Emirates Cancer Society, which was established in 2013, will witness a qualitative shift in its career during the next stage, especially in terms of expanding medical support programs and awareness campaigns to spread the culture of early detection of cancer, and the importance of strengthening partnership with all institutions within the concept of social responsibility.
