The UAE participates in the 163rd session of the Arab League Council at the level of permanent delegates in Cairo

Cairo, April 22/ WAM/ The UAE participated in the work of the 163rd session of the Council of the League of Arab States, which started today at the headquarters of the University’s General Secretariat at the level of permanent delegates.
The state is His Excellency Maryam Al -Kaabi, the ambassador of the state to the Arab Republic of Egypt, its permanent representative to the Arab League.
The agenda of the current session included several main items that included a number of political, economic, social, legal, financial and administrative issues, most notably the item of joint Arab action, and it includes the report of the Secretary General of the Arab League between the two sessions (162) and (163) and the project of the regular Arab Summit in its 34th session, which is scheduled to be held in Baghdad next May 17.
The business schedule project also included a clause on the Palestinian issue and the Arab -Israeli conflict. This item includes several titles, including following up the political developments of the Palestinian issue and the Arab -Israeli conflict, activating the Arab Peace Initiative, Israeli developments and violations in occupied Jerusalem, supporting the budget of the State of Palestine, steadfastness of the Palestinian people, Arab water security, and theft of Israel for water in the occupied Arab lands and the occupied Syrian Arab Golan.
The meeting discussed a number of permanent items related to Arab affairs and national security, including developments in Libya, Yemen, Sudan, and Somalia, solidarity with Lebanon, developments in Syria, Iran’s occupation of the three UAE islands, navigation security and energy supplies in the Arab Gulf region and taking a unified Arab position regarding the violation of Turkish forces for Iraqi sovereignty, support for peace and development in Sudan, support for Somalia, moon islands, a peaceful solution to the Djibouti border conflict – Eritrean and Ethiopian dam.
The business schedule project also included the item related to international political affairs, which includes a number of issues, including the dangers of Israeli armaments on Arab national security and international peace and the establishment of the region without nuclear weapons and other weapons of mass destruction in the Middle East and the enhancement of Arab cooperation in the field of cybersecurity and the security of information and communications technology within the framework of international security in addition to Arab relations with regional and international organizations and communities, in addition to a number of files related to climate and legal affairs related issues With the maintenance of Arab national security and the development of the Arab system to combat terrorism, in addition to the provisions related to administrative and financial affairs, and the item of the new work, which is a report on the follow -up of the implementation of the initiatives submitted by the Kingdom of Bahrain at the 33rd Arab Summit.
The permanent delegates is scheduled to raise the project of the agenda and draft decisions related to those items to the ministerial session (163) of the Arab League Council at the level of the Arab Foreign Ministers tomorrow for its approval and approval.
