A huge forest fire broke out in the US state of New Jersey yesterday, causing some residents to evacuate and close a main highway.
The authorities said: More than 1,300 buildings are threatened, and electricity was cut off from most areas of Barnigit, and a mandatory evacuation order was issued for an unlimited number of buildings in the town of Lasi, and shelters were opened in some locations.
Firefighters reported that the fire devoured more than 11.9 km of land, while no immediate reports of injuries.
