The ruler of Sharjah issues an American decree on reorganization "Women Sports Foundation"

Sharjah, April 23 / WAM / His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, issued an Emiri decree on the reorganization of the Sharjah Women’s Sports Foundation.

The decree stipulates that the institution enjoy the full legal and eligible personality to conduct the necessary legal actions to achieve its goals and exercise its powers, and it will have financial and administrative independence, and be an independent government institution.

According to the decree, the Foundation is headed by Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Muhammad Al Qasimi, the wife of His Highness the Ruler of the emirate, and assisted by a specialized advisor in the field with experience and competence in the areas of the work of the institution.

The headquarters of the Foundation and its main position will be in the city of Sharjah, and it is permissible by a decision of the president to establish other branches in the rest of the cities and regions of the emirate.

According to the decree, the Foundation aims to achieve the following:

1. Serving the sports sector in all aspects and developing women’s sport in the country in general and the emirate in particular.

2. Highlighting the role of Emirati sports women in forums and reaching leadership positions and regional and international competitions and encouraging them to participate in various sports.

3. Establishing a modern and integrated system to develop the administrative systems of women’s sport in the emirate according to international best practices.

4. Enabling national competencies and developing human capital in the field of women’s sport.

5. The formation of a qualified generation of women leaders in the sports field in cooperation with the competent federal authority and international institutions and work to develop and attract cadres.

6. Establishing sports culture and community awareness of its importance, enhancing women’s exercise and creating a stimulating sports environment that contributes to the development of women’s sport.

In order to achieve its goals, the institution also has the following specializations:

1. Setting policies and programs and preparing a strategy for the development of women’s sport and the rehabilitation of sports leaders, technical supervision of club plans and following up their work.

2. Rehabilitation, refinement and attract cadres and competencies in all sporting fields that support competitiveness at global levels.

3. Establishing an effective and comprehensive framework for women’s sport that is in line with the directions of the state, the emirate and the global trends.

4. Establishing a legal framework that is compatible with the development in the field of women’s sport to regulate the sports movement.

5. Rehabilitation of women’s sport travelers in the emirate and at the regional and global levels.

6. Forming sustainable partnership relations with local, Arab and international institutions to support the goals of the institution in the field of achieving added value for women’s sport and other relevant fields.

7. Setting long -term plans and policies to provide financial resources in order to develop sports and finance local and international sports programs.

8. Work to increase the number of Olympic sports that women can participate.

9. Development and development of sports facilities for women’s sport.

10. Applying quality and ISO systems, requirements for developing institutional work and standards of excellence in the establishment facilities.

11. The conclusion of contracts, agreements and memoranda of understanding with similar institutions and other relevant institutions and bodies.

12. Putting governance standards on clubs, and financial control over their expenses.

13. Discover and care for sports talents.

14. Nomination of applications for obtaining a sports scholarship with the names of club players in accordance with the Foundation’s controls and submitting them to the president to direct it.

15. Issuing sports discharge requests for the clubs registered in the clubs or working in the emirate.

16. Holding championships and organizing sports events, festivals, conferences and seminars.

17. Investing the Foundation’s funds of all types of investment.

18. Any other specializations assigned to the ruler of the emirate or the president.

The decree stipulates that the institution’s administration take charge of appointing a decision by the president and be responsible before him, and he takes over the following powers:

1. proposing the general policies of the institution and supervising its implementation after its approval by the president and developing plans that ensure the development of work in the institution and its employees.

2. Supervising the progress of work in the institution in accordance with the applicable laws and regulations and issuing the necessary decisions, instructions and circulars.

4. Propose the annual budget and the final account of the institution and present them to the president for accreditation.

5. Supervising the implementation of exchange from the institution’s budget within the approved credits in accordance with the applicable laws and regulations and issuing relevant decisions and instructions.

6. Forming permanent and temporary committees and the Foundation’s work teams and determining its powers and work system.

7. Representing the Foundation in local, regional and international conferences and meetings.

8. Representing the institution in concluding contracts, agreements, memoranda of understanding and partnerships.

9. Representing the institution before the judiciary and government agencies and in its relations with others, and he may delegate anyone to do so.

10. Any other powers assigned to the president.

According to the decree, all the women’s sports clubs are affiliated with the emirate of the Sharjah Women’s Sports Foundation.

The decree also included legal items related to the organizational structure, financial resources, the fiscal year, and others.
