Al-Ittihad Saudi qualifies for the quarter-finals of the AFC Champions League after defeating Al-Wahda

JEDDAH, April 15, 2017 (WAM) – The Saudi Al-Ittihad team qualified for the quarter-finals of the AFC Champions League for Elite Football, after tonight’s victory over Al-Wahda team, 1-0, at the King Abdullah International Stadium in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, in the Round of 16 matches, in a match that extended to extra time, after regular time ended in a goalless draw.

Fabinho, the Al-Ittihad player, scored a goal in the fatal time of the second extra period in the 120+10 minute, from the penalty mark, to seal his team’s qualification to the quarter-finals, which will face the Japanese team Zelvia in the next round.
