Insert King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Aid yesterday a field campaign to combat Malaria in Camps for displaced people in Aden and Ma’rib, within the second phase of the project to strengthen malaria prevention and control, in cooperation with the World Health Organization.
The campaign includes implementing field visits for 4 medical teams equipped with mobile vehicles, including 28 specialized health personnel, to provide health services in locations where displaced people are located, and includes early screening using rapid tests, accurate diagnosis, and providing free treatment for malaria cases in accordance with approved protocols.
In addition to implementing entomological surveys A field field measure to measure the density of disease vectors and determine the hotspots of their spread, benefiting 553,000 people in 72 camps for the displaced.

Providing health services to the displaced

The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Public Health and Population for the Primary Health Care Sector, Dr. Ali Ahmed Al-Walidi said that the launch of these teams represents a qualitative step in enhancing access to health services for the displaced, who are considered one of the most vulnerable groups and in need of medical care.
He praised the generous support provided by the King Salman Relief Center, which contributed to the implementation of many vital health programs in various governorates.
This comes as an extension of the humanitarian and relief efforts provided by the Kingdom through its humanitarian arm, the King Salman Relief Center; To support local efforts to control malaria, reduce the health burden, and support the health recovery path in Yemen.
