المملكة: Buraidah .. workshops, consulting and activities for children in an autism awareness initiative

The birth and children’s hospital in Buraidah, represented by the Center for Growth and Conduct Disorders, action of the International Day of Autism by launching an awareness initiative under the slogan “Towards a comprehensive community awareness and effective support for members of the autistic spectrum and their families”, with the aim of raising the level of awareness of the autism spectrum and enhancing societal and psychological support for families.

Definition of autism spectrum disorders

The campaign included an introductory and educational corner on autism spectrum disorders, interactive workshops, in addition to activities for children, and the provision of family and psychological consultations by a specialized team.
This initiative comes within the efforts of Qassim’s healthy gathering in promoting community partnership and activating global health events, in a way that contributes to raising awareness of the importance of early diagnosis and treatment intervention, and consolidating concepts of acceptance of difference and integrating children of autism into society.
