Experts demanding the use of artificial intelligence to serve Arab societies while preserving identity

Dubai, April 23/ WAM/ A group of leaders and experts discussed, on the sidelines of the activities of the Dubai Intelligence Week in the fields of technology and media from the Arab world, the use of artificial intelligence to serve Arab societies while preserving the cultural and linguistic identity, stressing the need for collective work to develop uniform strategies that ensure fair and effective employment of these technologies, and keep pace with accelerated developments in the digital world.
Mohamed Amin, the first president in Central and Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and Africa at the company “Deii”, stressed the importance of protecting intellectual property and cultural identity in the era of artificial intelligence, adding that the accelerating developments in the field of artificial intelligence impose real challenges related to the protection of intellectual property and the integrity of information.
He said in a statement to the Emirates News Agency “WAM”, on the sidelines of the Dubai AI Week, “Dealing with techniques that create new content based on data provided to them without sufficient observance of intellectual rights or the ratios of ideas for their owners, which constitutes a danger, especially in light of the spread of tools such as Chatgpt and other competing platforms.”
He warned that artificial intelligence may provide inaccurate answers but appear correct, which may mislead users, especially young people who may not have enough cognitive background to verify information.
He stressed the importance of introducing Arab and Islamic content into these systems, and to be shareholders, not just users, and we must instill our cultural and religious identity in artificial intelligence to ensure our fair representation in it.
He noted the pioneering role of the UAE in this field, which is the most active country in the region in developing organizational frameworks between innovation and protecting values, despite the absence of clear international legislation so far.

Ahmed Al -Zarouni, an artificial intelligence expert in the UAE, said that the UAE is proceeding with a confident pace in pre -empting the future thanks to its ambitious vision and its continuous superiority in various technical fields, as it has proven that it is at the forefront of countries that employed obstetric intelligence in government services in an actual, realistic and experienced government and it is no longer just slogans but a tangible experience that starts from smart phone applications through government sites to the uses of intelligence Artificial in providing daily services to citizens and residents.
He pointed out that many ministries and government agencies such as the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation are the Ministry of Health and Community Protection and the Ministry of Education, showed advanced performance in integrating artificial intelligence technologies, within their systems, which contributed to simplifying procedures and providing more integrated and efficient services.
He added that the obstetric artificial intelligence has become an enabling tool that opens new horizons for Emirati and Arab youth, to prove his presence locally and globally, where any individual today can create an integrated visual or media content from texts to images and video without the need for specialized technical skills, which creates new unprecedented jobs and opportunities, stressing the importance of keeping pace with this transformation and investing in developing human competencies towards unlimited future prospects, Pointing out that the UAE is not satisfied with following up progress, but rather makes it and competes itself to always be in the forefront, taking advantage of its pre -emptive vision and its ability to adapt the rapid adaptation to the variables of the digital age.
