The Roads and Transport Authority, within the activities of the Dubai AI Week, adopted the 2030 artificial intelligence strategy, which aims to enhance the global leadership of the authority in the field of enhanced mobility with artificial intelligence, by empowering an integrated and interconnected system that contributes to upgrading the quality of life in Dubai, and the strategy includes 81 projects and initiative, covering six axes: happiness of people, easy and innovative mobility, Smart management of traffic, smart licensing, jet for the future, and excellence in assets.
The Director General and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Roads and Communications Authority, Matar Al -Tayer said: “The 630s artificial intelligence strategy is compatible with the Emirates AI strategy 2031, national strategies at the federal and local levels, and specialized strategies in the authority including the digital strategy 2030, and aims to enhance human capabilities to implement and expand the scope of use of artificial intelligence, and lead the intelligence system Artificial artificially to enhance flexibility and innovation, achieve leadership in the transformation based on artificial intelligence in the services, products and operations of the authority, as well as adopting strong institutional governance for artificial intelligence, and enhancing the technical capabilities of artificial intelligence and data to keep pace with the continuous development in this field, stressing that huge data technologies and artificial intelligence are an essential pillar of digital transformation in the era of digital economy,, It contributes to enhancing the efficiency of operations, supporting decision -making, and encouraging innovation in various sectors.

He added: «The strategy includes the implementation of 81 projects and initiative, during the period from 2025 to 2030, which covers six basic focus axes: the happiness of people, smooth and innovative movement, smart management of traffic, smart licensing, efforts for the future, excellence in assets, and aims to achieve a package of indicators, the most important of which is: reducing the movement of mobility by 20% and 30% by improving the signature of signals Traffic, and providing smart infantry transport solutions, as well as to improve productivity by 25% and 40%, by providing artificial intelligence tools for employees, and also goals are also costing costs between 10% and 20% through the creation of platforms reinforced with artificial intelligence for asset management, predictive maintenance, and drivers’ examination ».
He said: «The strategy also aims to increase the level of happiness of customers by up to 35%, and to improve the commitment of the partners by between 30%and 50%. Artificial intelligence platform to support the development of its applications effectively and better.
Using cases
Matar Al -Tayer added: “The huge data platform is a head of data management and its exchange between the institution’s institutions, and it recorded an annual growth by 30%, as the total data capacity exceeded 670 terabytes, which is equivalent to more than 235 billion papers, and the platform is linked to 49 institutions, and provides more than 280 electronic integrations to link the various data of the systems, and contributed to supporting more than 12 cases of use of artificial intelligence projects, in addition to enhancing the efficiency of operational operations at the unified control center of the authority, indicating that the authority has implemented more than 40 cases of use of huge data and artificial intelligence since 2017, the most important of which is the prediction of bus maintenance, analysis of bus passenger notes, predicting car parking rate, activating obstetric intelligence on the institutional conversation system (Mahboub),, The authority is currently studying 45 cases to use artificial intelligence and huge data, the most important of which is the rationalization of water and electricity consumption in the Dubai Metro, and improving the bus network using artificial intelligence technologies.
