"Sharjah Heritage" Organize "A meeting with generations" To enhance national affiliation

Sharjah, April 25 / WAM / The Sharjah Institute of Heritage organized at its headquarters and in the context of its continuous commitment to the preservation of heritage and the promotion of national identity, a community initiative under the title “A meeting with generations”, in cooperation with the Ministry of Community Development and the Department of Social Services and with the support of the Ministry of Community Empowerment and in partnership with the Center for Senior Citizen Services – Al -Asala Club and with the active participation of various groups of society and the presence of a number of specialists and interested in the Emirati culture and heritage.

The first day of the initiative witnessed the provision of distinguished heritage activities that focused on the marine environment, in addition to performing the Emirati art of Nahim in an atmosphere that revived important details of the sea memory in the local community and embodied the audience’s interaction with popular and traditional arts.

The event continued on the second day with educational and interactive programs specialized in the assets of the Authentic Club “Women”, as the program included heritage and educational activities aimed at promoting the spirit of cultural identity and consolidating the inherited values ​​from generation to generation.

His Excellency Dr. Abdel Aziz Al -Muslim, President of the Sharjah Institute of Heritage, said that through this initiative we seek to be a vital link between generations and work to enable society in all its categories through heritage and what we witnessed during the two days of the interaction and attendance of an active is evidence that our heritage is still alive in the conscience of people and that it is able to build bridges of understanding and belonging.

Aisha Ghabish, Director of Events and Activities Department at the Institute, stressed the importance of societal inclusion in the institute’s programs, where the second day of the event was allocated to the assets of Al -Asala Club, in line with our vision in the involvement of everyone, especially senior citizens in the heritage preservation efforts, and we seek to provide interactive activities that enable them to live and transfer heritage and enhance their appreciation for their active role in society.

These initiatives emphasize the importance of societal integration and reflects the commitment of the Sharjah Institute for Heritage to involve all groups in protecting and preserving the Emirati cultural heritage and ensuring its continuity through interactive initiatives that contribute to enhancing communication between generations.

The “Meeting with Generations” initiative remains a living embodiment of the vision of the Emirate of Sharjah in the heritage to be a bridge that connects the past with the present and gives future generations the keys to pride and belonging. Through these meetings, the inheritance is not only revived, but it is re -presented with a contemporary spirit that inspires the present and makes a future based on originality and cultural awareness.
