المملكة: The Kingdom’s Vision 2030 has reduced unemployment .. The next one includes qualitative resettlement and knowledge economy

A number of experts and specialists in human resources emphasized that the passage of nine years on the start of the Kingdom’s 2030 vision is an important national occasion to meditate on the achievement of qualitative achievements in the labor market, especially with regard to reducing unemployment rates and the acceleration of resettlement in various sectors, while enabling national competencies of youth and women alike.
In their speech to “Today”, they explained that what was achieved during the last period is a product of an ambitious vision and tight development policies, which succeeded in reshaping the Saudi labor market structure and enhancing the participation of citizens in it, noting that the next stage requires focusing on qualitative settlement, developing future skills, and enhancing the active partnership between the public and private sectors.
Supporting national development and reducing unemployment
Human resource expert Nayef Al -Omari said: “The passage of nine years since the launch of the Kingdom’s 2030 vision, which has been a strategic shift in national development and contributed effectively to reducing unemployment rates and speeding up localization in the labor market.”

He added that the next five years will witness – according to the current trends – a qualitative expansion of Emiratization, focusing on high -value jobs, ensuring the construction of national cadres capable of global competition, and enhances the transition to a knowledge economy based on technical information and innovation as major sources of economic value, instead of relying on traditional resources. Al -Omari explained that the features of this new economy include advanced education, scientific research, digital infrastructure, and human competencies, as well as protecting intellectual property.
He said that it is necessary to give priority to localizing specific sectors of strategic importance, most notably: technical sectors and digital transformation, health sector, financial sector, leadership jobs in the private sector, education and training sector, tourism and recreational sector, in addition to modern industries such as military industries and renewable energy.
He stressed that this trend is considered one of the main pillars to achieve a diversified and sustainable economy, within the target of the vision, stressing that the success of qualitative settlement requires a supportive environment for the development of skills, and to enhance the partnership between the public and private sectors, to achieve a real sustainability in the labor market, and enable Saudi youth to perform leadership and influential roles in various fields.

For her part, Hana Abdel Aziz Al -Qasabi, a specialist in human resources and professional counseling, said: “On the anniversary of the nine -year traffic on the launch of the Kingdom’s 2030 vision, we value the great transformations that the Kingdom witnessed, especially with regard to reducing the unemployment rate and the acceleration of resettlement, which reflects the efficacy of national policies and the effectiveness of initiatives related to the labor market.”

Al -Qasabi added: “In light of what has been achieved, the future of resettlement during the next five years seems promising, especially with the continued focus on enabling national cadres and raising their competitiveness in light of the economic transformations taking place in the Kingdom, the growing digital economy and the expansion of huge infrastructure projects.”
She stressed the importance of granting priority to localizing a number of professions that are compatible with the requirements of the future, the most prominent of which are technical, financial professions, tourism and hospitality professions, in addition to jobs related to renewable energy.
Al -Qasabi stressed that the continuation of the partnership between the public and private sectors, and the promotion of vocational training, represents a pillar to ensure the sustainability of Emiratisation and achieve the desired impact at the level of individuals and the national economy.
She concluded her speech by saying: “Our future is promising with promising cadres, thanks to an ambitious leadership and an inspiring vision that drew a new road map for the future of the Kingdom.”
The transformation of the labor market and the increase in the participation of Saudi women
For his part, the director of human resources, Sultan Al -Dhali, stressed that on April 25, 2025, the passage of nine years coincides with the launch of the Kingdom’s 2030 vision, which brought about a fundamental shift in the Saudi labor market in terms of policies, legislation and practices, which was directly reflected in employment indicators and job localization.

Al -Dhalea said: “The unemployment rate among Saudis decreased from 11.6% in 2016 to 7.7% by the end of 2023, according to the data of the General Authority for Statistics, as well as the number of Saudis working in the private sector exceeded the barrier of 2.3 million employees, and the percentage of Saudi women’s participation in the labor market increased from 17% to about 35.3%, which is a historical transformation in empowering women and enhancing their contribution to the national economy.”
He added that the next stage will witness the continued expansion of the resettlement of vital sectors such as technology, health, tourism, and retail, with a focus on qualitative settlement that is based on developing skills and raising job quality, with the support of digital transformation, women and youth empowerment programs, and stimulating innovation and entrepreneurship.
He pointed out that this approach contributes to enhancing economic competitiveness and raising the productivity of national cadres. Al -Dhalea stressed the importance of enhancing the alignment of education with the requirements of the labor market, expanding specialized training programs, and motivating the private sector to invest in Saudi competencies. He concluded by saying: “Real empowerment is not only by providing jobs, but by ensuring quality and sustainable professional development of national cadres, in a way that enhances the stability of the market and achieves the targets of the ambitious vision of the Kingdom.”
